A break that has not qualified
Wait for the full rule rather than a suggestive candle.
Illustrative simulation · No historical performance claim01. Read the information available.
Price has crossed the example range boundary at 4,010, but the latest completed close is 4,011. The screenshot alone can make the move look decisive. The rule, however, contains a condition that the last candle has not met.
02. Apply the documented plan.
The practice rule requires a completed close strictly above 4,012, followed by a retest of 4,010–4,012 and another completed close above 4,012. No order is permitted before that sequence. There is no active entry, stop or target in this case.
No eligible entry
The later simulated closes return inside the range without completing the stated sequence. The plan produces no trade. There is no realized R result because no position was opened; a hypothetical missed gain or loss must not be booked as a trading outcome.
What this case teaches
A decision gate must be capable of withholding permission. The case is about applying the rule before the future path is visible, not about predicting that a particular break would fail.
